Somehow Nes thought it would not be a bad idea for me to do a guest post. For this I thank him and apologize to the rest of you for having to read this, I will not be offended if you scroll down to the download link. So, I was trying to figure out what to post and doubted that many of you enjoy Saxon’s “Power and the Glory” as much as I do, so I went with a little dopeocity in the form of Neil Armstrong’s “2Original.”
As a producer, I come at

break mixes from a different direction.I hear a sample and think, “I could have flipped that…better” And that’s what I like so much about the “Original” mixes, there is such a wealth of “oohh that’s where that shit is from” moments. Now, mind you Armstrong’s skill at juggling and mixing is top notch and makes it less of a “this sample was used on this track” lesson and more of a really enjoyable mix of good tracks and the recorded semen on the vinyl egg that helped produce the dope beat baby we all think is so cute. This is the second in the series of I believe only two. He also redid Original, live (mistakes and all) as “Nonstop” Honestly, every single mix I’ve heard by this dude is well thought out, incredibly well executed and fucking dope. For more info on him and his crew check Nes’s post
here.
And now, enjoy the 58 track study of “def” and “fresh” known as 2Original.
